Rebound is now on ChatGPT
You can now add Rebound as an App inside ChatGPT, making it easier than ever to check if something is a scam and get a personalized action plan for help if you need it.
Rebound Scam Assistant is live as an App inside ChatGPT. You can open it directly here, or read more about it at https://www.trustrebound.com/antiscam-for-chatgpt. If you use ChatGPT, you can now paste any suspicious text (a weird email, a sketchy DM, a pushy “your package is delayed” message) and get a real scam analysis in seconds, powered by the same detection engine that runs our AntiScam software.
What it does
Inside ChatGPT, you say something like:
“Hey @Rebound, can you check this text I just got? USPS: Your package is being held. Please pay a $2.99 redelivery fee at usps-redeliver-fee[.]com”
ChatGPT calls Rebound Scam Assistant, and we analyze the message and send back:
Risk level: scam, suspicious, or not a scam
Scam type: the category it fits (phishing, package delivery scam, impersonation, etc.)
Red flags: the specific signs that made it suspicious
What to do: concrete, plain-English next steps
If the message is a scam and you want to go further (get help reporting it, notifying your bank, etc.), we include a one-click link into our full Scam Assistant at trustrebound.com, pre-populated with the details of the scam you just analyzed. You don’t have to retype anything.
Why I built this
Helping people protect themselves from scams has been my obsession for over a decade, first investigating cybercrime as a Special Agent in the U.S. Secret Service, then building consumer-protection products at Google, and now running Rebound. Based on a decade of watching bad actors operate, I know that they are organized, funded, operating at scale, and getting better every day.
And the defense against all that? Your gut feeling, in a distracted moment, while you are walking out of the grocery store with a screaming kid and a text that says your account is locked. That is not a fair fight. That is why people are losing their savings every single day.
ChatGPT is now where millions of people go when they have a question they do not know the answer to. “Is this real?” is one of those questions.
If you connect Rebound to your ChatGPT (one-click, takes just a few seconds), every time you ask ChatGPT about a suspicious message, it routes the question to us and our specialized scam detection engine. You install it once, and from then on, it is just there, on duty, whether you remember it or not. The next time a weird text shows up, and you paste it into ChatGPT, Rebound is an “@rebound” away to help you.

How to connect Rebound to your ChatGPT
Click here to open Rebound Scam Assistant in the ChatGPT App directory, then click Connect. That is the whole setup. Takes about 10 seconds.
If you prefer to find it yourself rather than use the link above, open ChatGPT, go to Apps in the toolbar, search for Rebound, and click Connect.
Once connected, you use it like this:
Open ChatGPT (the App or chatgpt.com).
Type “@rebound”, and then paste the suspicious message. ChatGPT will automatically route the question to Rebound.
Read the analysis. If it is a scam, click the link in the response to jump into the Scam Assistant on our site for full recovery help.

One note on the current version: it currently only handles text-based messages. File uploads (e.g., screenshots of text) are on the roadmap once the ChatGPT file-passing APIs are stable.
